Acts 12

The Power of Earnest Prayer: The early church gathered to pray "earnestly" for Peter while he was chained in a high-security prison. When faced with trials, collective and persistent prayer is the church's most potent weapon.

God's Sovereignty Over Man's Plans: Herod intended to execute Peter, but God had a different plan. Not even heavy iron gates, chains, and multiple guards can thwart God's will. No situation is ever beyond His redemptive reach.

The Human Limitation of Faith: The believers were actively praying for Peter, yet they were astonished to the point of disbelief when he actually showed up at the door. God answers prayers even when our faith is weak or struggling to comprehend the magnitude of the miracle.
