What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

At Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa, our core beliefs are not just words on a page - they are the heartbeat of who we are. These foundational truths, drawn straight from the pages of the Bible, shaping everything we do and guided by every decision we make. Our teaching and ministry are built upon these unshakable biblical doctrines, fueling our passion to serve and glorify God in all we do.

God

There is ONE eternally existing God who has THREE distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the CREATOR of all that exists, both visible and invisible. HE is worthy of ALL glory and praise. God is PERFECT in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is UNCHANGEABLE and therefore is the SAME yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Revelation

God has graciously shown His true essence to us through His beloved son, Jesus Christ, who embodies the very image of the unseen Father. He continues to reveal His majesty and truth through the sacred scriptures and the breathtaking beauty of all creation around us. How truly blessed are we to witness the presence of God in such wondrous ways!

Mankind

Humans, both male and female, were lovingly crafted in God's own image, destined to shine brightly in His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created pure and without sin, entrusted by God to be stewards of all His magnificent creations.

The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, their very essence was forever altered, turning them into mere shadows of their true selves. As a result, their connection to God was severed, leading to a ripple effect that has left creation fractured and in turmoil ever since that fateful moment.

Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a perfect life, free of sin, and willingly sacrificed himself on the cross to pay the price for our sins. Through God's amazing love and grace, He raised Jesus from the dead, offering eternal life as a free gift to all who choose to follow Christ as their Lord and Savior. This is why salvation is only possible through Christ. Embrace His gift and experience the overwhelming joy and peace that comes from knowing Him.

Baptism

Baptism is not just a simple ritual, but a powerful sign and seal of God's unwavering covenant of grace with us. It is a joyous welcome into a new life filled with promise and hope. Through baptism, we publicly declare our commitment to leaving our old ways behind and embracing a fresh start in Christ. It serves as a constant reminder that God lovingly forgives our sins, welcomes us as His beloved children, and graciously bestows upon us the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us.

We passionately stand firm in our belief that infant baptism is not in line with the teachings of the gospel. We believe that newborns, who are innocent and unaware of the spiritual implications, cannot consciously choose to follow and obey Jesus through baptism. It is essential for individuals to have a deep understanding and heartfelt submission to Jesus before partaking in the sacred act of baptism.

The transformative journey of faith that commences with baptism is a continuous process of growth and renewal, as we immerse ourselves in the life-giving waters of scripture and allow God's word to shape and mold us into the image of His Son.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the powerful and radiant body of Christ, commissioned to spread the glory of God and boldly declare the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to the world!

Resurrection

Jesus Christ is coming back one day to judge both the living and the dead, and to bring forth the fullness of God's kingdom here on earth.
