Senior Pastor
About Me
I am Carlos, the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa. My journey began as the Youth Pastor, fueled by an intense passion to witness the amazing transformation of our youth in our area, through the profound power of God's word, equipping them to be the leaders of tomorrow. In 2014 the Lord placed a divine calling on my heart to establish and lead a Spanish-speaking congregation called Agua Viva, where I poured my heart and soul for over a decade. And now, I have been entrusted with the incredible responsibility of leading Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa as the senior pastor. It is truly a blessing to see the miraculous work that God is performing within our church community.

Michael Alexander
Youth Pastor
About Me
I am Michael. I came to Christ at a young age but was always introspective and reserved. When I arrived in Las Vegas in 2003, I couldn't pinpoint the exact moment I was called to ministry. But as I delved deeper into the teachings of God, a fire ignited within me. I realized that I had always harbored a deep-seated desire to share the word of God and to guide and support others in their journey towards Him, starting with my own family.
I am convinced that God has a special plan for the youth ministry - to raise up a generation who are not only well-versed in His word but unashamed to proclaim it boldly. They will learn to love one another starting with God's house and then carry that same love out into the world. It is through His word that we come to know God, and it is through His spirit that we are confirmed in our faith.
Our hope is anchored in the Lord. I pray that these young souls will not only know and love God, but also remain steadfast in their faith, never wavering. Just as Isaiah 40:31 promises, "Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary" (NASB). Let us place our trust in the Lord, knowing that He will renew our strength and guide us all on our journey.

Loa & Kovi Taimani
Children's Ministry
About Us
My name is Loa, and my wife’s name is Kovi. We were married in 2012 in Santa Clara, CA, at a time when our lives were still far from where they needed to be. In 2015, when we became pregnant with our first child, we knew we had to change—for the sake of the precious life God had entrusted to us. Seeking a fresh start, we moved from San Jose, CA to Salt Lake City, UT.
After our daughter was born, we began attending a local church, searching earnestly for the truth. In 2018, God opened a door for me in Las Vegas with a job opportunity. Excited, we planned to live in Vegas for only three years before returning to Utah. But during those three years, as we walked through trials and tribulations, we realized that we had been doing everything wrong—and that Christ needed to be at the center of our marriage.
In 2021, we made Las Vegas our permanent home. God then led us to Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa, and in 2023 we fully surrendered, finally understanding God’s purpose for our lives.
In 2024, after welcoming our fifth child, we began serving in the children’s ministry—me as an usher and my wife in the nursery. Shortly after, we were entrusted with teaching the Kindergarten–2nd grade class. It was in this ministry that God revealed His will for us. We had to depend fully on Him, and in doing so, we found peace and joy. Our hearts are anchored in this ministry.
Children are what God used to reveal His love and grace to us. Through them, He helped us understand our purpose. We are deeply grateful to our Lord and Savior for pulling us out of the pit and setting our feet on His path. Our desire is to worship Him wholeheartedly and allow Him to use us as instruments for His Kingdom. We do not take this calling lightly. These are God’s children—the next generation who will carry the baton of faith. We are honored and blessed to walk alongside all of you in training up God’s children and equipping them to face the world with Jesus in their hearts and as their foundation.
Know Jesus, Love Jesus, Follow Jesus!!!
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 13:22
A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.

Kingdom Way Academy (Homeschool Program)
About Me
God has graciously and gently guided me to the Children’s Ministry at CCMM. My journey began during the challenging times of COVID, and from that moment on, I have felt a deep sense of belonging and purpose within this ministry. The responsibility of teaching and nurturing the young hearts in our church community with the truths of the Bible is not just a duty, but a privilege that I hold dear to my heart.
With God’s divine orchestration, I found myself volunteering with Kingdom Kids, the Children’s Ministry at CCMM. Through this experience, I have come to realize the vital importance of providing our young ones with a solid foundation of faith and knowledge. It has become a burning passion within me to not only educate the children academically but also to instill in them the ways of the Lord.
As I continue to serve in Kingdom Kids, I have also been led to be a part of Kingdom Way Academy, a homeschool co-op that seeks to support families in their educational journey. The vision of this academy resonates deeply with me as it combines scholastic learning with spiritual growth. The Way is a monthly gathering for children in kindergarten to 5th grade, offers a unique blend of biblical teachings and academic support, all wrapped up in a joyful and engaging environment. My heart overflows with joy as I witness the impact of this initiative on the lives of our young ones, knowing that they are being equipped to walk in the ways of the Lord.
