Pastors & Ministry Leaders

Carlos Rodriguez

Senior Pastor

About Me
I am Carlos, the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa. My journey began as the Youth Pastor, fueled by an intense passion to witness the amazing transformation of our youth in our area, through the profound power of God's word, equipping them to be the leaders of tomorrow. In 2014 the Lord placed a divine calling on my heart to establish and lead a Spanish-speaking congregation called Agua Viva, where I poured my heart and soul for over a decade. And now, I have been entrusted with the incredible responsibility of leading Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa as the senior pastor. It is truly a blessing to see the miraculous work that God is performing within our church community.

Michael Alexander

Youth Pastor

About Me
I am Michael. I came to Christ at a young age but was always introspective and reserved. When I arrived in Las Vegas in 2003, I couldn't pinpoint the exact moment I was called to ministry. But as I delved deeper into the teachings of God, a fire ignited within me. I realized that I had always harbored a deep-seated desire to share the word of God and to guide and support others in their journey towards Him, starting with my own family.

I am convinced that God has a special plan for the youth ministry - to raise up a generation who are not only well-versed in His word but unashamed to proclaim it boldly. They will learn to love one another starting with God's house and then carry that same love out into the world. It is through His word that we come to know God, and it is through His spirit that we are confirmed in our faith.

Our hope is anchored in the Lord. I pray that these young souls will not only know and love God, but also remain steadfast in their faith, never wavering.  Just as Isaiah 40:31 promises, "Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary" (NASB).  Let us place our trust in the Lord, knowing that He will renew our strength and guide us all on our journey.

Jaime & Kathleen Dominguez

Youth Facilitators

About Us
Jamie Dominguez and his wife Kathleen Dominguez are not just a devoted couple, but a passionate one as well, dedicated to serving the youth at CCMM. With over 18 years of marriage and 4 beautiful children, our hearts are full and our mission is clear. The most rewarding part of our calling is coming alongside teenagers as they navigate and wrestle through their faith journey, helping them to truly make it their own. Our desire is to disciple the next generation for Christ, leading, mentoring, guiding, and teaching them with Biblical wisdom so that they may thrive and fulfill God's unique plan for their lives.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 reminds us that all Scripture is God-breathed and essential for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that every individual may be equipped for every good work.

This truth fuels our passion and drives us to pour into the hearts and minds of the youth we are privileged to serve.

Joe & Coco Mapendan

Worship Directors

About Us
Joe and Coco have dedicated their lives to serving in church ministry for over two decades. It was a transformative moment for Joe when he encountered the love of the Lord and felt an immediate calling to share his musical talents as a drummer for the church. Meanwhile, Coco's deep-rooted upbringing in the church led her to join the worship team as a vocalist at a young age of 12.

Together, Joe and Coco have been instrumental in leading youth worship together at CCMM in 2008 before embarking on a new journey in Seattle, WA, where they passionately served as Worship leaders in a church from 2014 to 2021. Their unwavering commitment to seeing God's people worship Him in spirit and in truth is evident through their music ministry.

Their hearts beat with a fervent desire and zeal to lead others closer to Jesus through  music.

Gus & Rochel Hucks

Children's Ministry

About Us
Gus and Rochel have poured out their hearts into children's ministry ever since they found salvation over a decade ago. It's been a passion of theirs for so long, and when they relocated to Las Vegas from Hawaii 4 1/2 years ago, they knew they had to continue serving in this special way.

When they discovered Calvary Chapel Meadow Mesa last summer, they knew there was a need in the children's ministry, and eagerly stepped in to help. Working with children brings them so much joy, and they truly believe that by providing them with a strong, Biblical foundation, they are setting them up for a lifetime of walking with Jesus. Their hearts are truly invested in this, and are grateful for the opportunity to impact young lives in such a meaningful way.

Michelle Alexander

Kingdom Way Academy (Homeschool Program)

About Me
God has graciously and gently guided me to the Children’s Ministry at CCMM. My journey began during the challenging times of COVID, and from that moment on, I have felt a deep sense of belonging and purpose within this ministry. The responsibility of teaching and nurturing the young hearts in our church community with the truths of the Bible is not just a duty, but a privilege that I hold dear to my heart.

With God’s divine orchestration, I found myself volunteering with Kingdom Kids, the Children’s Ministry at CCMM. Through this experience, I have come to realize the vital importance of providing our young ones with a solid foundation of faith and knowledge. It has become a burning passion within me to not only educate the children academically but also to instill in them the ways of the Lord.

As I continue to serve in Kingdom Kids, I have also been led to be a part of Kingdom Way Academy, a homeschool co-op that seeks to support families in their educational journey. The vision of this academy resonates deeply with me as it combines scholastic learning with spiritual growth. The Way is a monthly gathering for children in kindergarten to 5th grade, offers a unique blend of biblical teachings and academic support, all wrapped up in a joyful and engaging environment. My heart overflows with joy as I witness the impact of this initiative on the lives of our young ones, knowing that they are being equipped to walk in the ways of the Lord.
