Part 2 Romans 3:19-31

Romans 3:19–31 explains that the law reveals humanity's sin, making everyone accountable to God. Since no one can be justified by strictly keeping the law, God freely offers righteousness to all people through faith in Jesus Christ, entirely by grace, excluding any human boasting.

Universal Guilt (vv. 19-20): The law silences all excuses, holding the entire world accountable to God. Rather than a path to salvation, the law's purpose is to reveal sin and human imperfection.

Righteousness Through Faith (vv. 21-26): God’s righteousness is now revealed "apart from the law". Because everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's standard, redemption is a free gift of grace, paid for by Jesus Christ's blood as a propitiation (the ultimate sacrifice that satisfies God's wrath).

No Boasting Allowed (vv. 27-31): Because salvation is entirely by faith and not by works, there is no room for human pride. Justification is equally available to both Jews and Gentiles. By establishing faith, the law is not abolished but rather upheld.
